Bernard Pivot Blogfest

So I discovered this fun little contest while I was visiting my fellow Crusaders. See how easily distracted I am? I have well over 100 blogs to follow and here I am adding to my list! Heehee. Anyway, Nicole over at
One Significant Moment at A Time is putting on a getting to each other better contest to celebrate hitting the 500 follower mark. (wow!) All we need to do is answer this questionnaire made famous by Inside the Actors Studio.

1.What is your favorite word? Awesome. I may use it too much.
2.What is your least favorite word? Gah, I have a few and I find it difficult to even type them:P Ok...moist and titty and the "F" word.
3.What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Music and the beauty that surrounds us.
4.What turns you off? Screaming children.
5.What is your favorite curse word? Hmm, Fish Paste! Courtesy of Sponge Bob. No, 'shit!' slips out quite often.
6.What sound or noise do you love? Laughter
7.What sound or noise do you hate? Fork vs Plate *shudders*
8.What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Super Hero or a Surgeon (I know, same thing)
9.What profession would you not like to do?Telemarketer
10.If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? It does and 'Welcome Home'

Wee! That was fun!

  1. Very cool responses! I agree, I hate the sound of fork scraping plate (shudder)! If you get a chance, please stop by: http://writinginwonderland.blogspot.com/

  2. Oh yay it worked! I was told there was a 'Server Error' and this post didn't go through.
    Yes, terrible sound!!

  3. If I had remembered the 't' word, I would have put it down as one of my least favourite too. I get irritated every time I hear it.

I've discovered today that quite a few writers are inspired by music.

  4. The 't' word is evil! Lol!
This is such a cool way to get to know people better. It's great to know that so many other people react physically to certain words! A lot of people in my life just think I'm weird (ok, i am weird and i like it☺) when I cringe or shudder at words! Weirdos.

  5. There are words I just don't like and rarely, if ever, escape my lips and you've pointed out a couple. I do like the idea of yelling fish paste, if for no other reason but to get people to eye me oddly and wonder what the heck.

Anyway, nice to meet you crusader and blogfest hopper/answer of questions. Nice to meet you.

I followed you, but my face isn't showing up on your sidebar and when I pushed the join button again it said I already was a member--not sure what's going on there.

    See ya around the blogosphere!

  6. Fish paste! LOL Is that a synonym for my favourite curse word? (hehehe)

  7. @Angela~ Hmm, I see your face on my sidebar☺ So no worries! I have a word I can't even type it disturbs me so much. I may be the only who is so greatly disturbed by this word! Lol!
@Jessica~ Right? Isn't Fish Paste great? Lol! It can be either completely benign and mean exactly what it says or it can be used to mean sooo much more! Lol!

  8. Fish paste, haha. That's adorable. Laughter is definitely one of the best sounds ever!

Though, I think I'm one of the rare people who doesn't dislike the word moist. :/ Dunno what it is about it that people hate, but seems a lot do.

  9. yeah, screaming children are pretty grating/ Good answers!

  10. Believe it or not, you've been hitting up crusaders too! I've found so many who are also doing this blogfest. Anyway, titty. I'm sorry! I totally spit out my coffee. Wasn't expecting that! Fork on teeth is pretty bad too...

  11. Great answers, Amanda. I stopped by to say hi to a fellow crusader. You are in one of my groups! Nice to meet you. ;) I'm a follower now.

  12. Loved your answers--I've always had something against "moist" as well (unless it's referring to cake, and even then...) :)

  13. Fun answers. So many dislike the word moist. But it makes me think happy thoughts like moist cake.
I also dislike the word 'titty'...hate when people say "tough titties".

Nice to meet you, fellow crusader! :)

  14. Hello fellow crusader!! I enjoyed reading your answers. Fish paste! Forgot about that one, LOL. And I loved how you worded 'fork vs plate.' Perfect!

Great to meet you, and thanks for playing along!

  15. Fork V's plate. Shudders just seeing the words.

  16. Super Hero!! Awesome!! I used that one just for you.;)

  17. My four girls know how to scream...and it is very daunting. It's something that gets old real quick! And I LOVE the word awesome!

By the way, we're in the same Crusade group!

  18. Telemarketer - Ag! don't talk to me about telemarketers! Seriously, I couldn't do it because their job is to annoy people.

I'll try 'fish paste' sometime. Might not be as satisfying as some others, but it's novel.

  19. Fork against plate. Yes! I used to waitress and that always gave me chills.

    I'm your latest follower.

  20. Finally making my way over for the blogfest! Sorry I'm late visiting.

We had a lot of answers in common! Great meeting you!

  21. @Devin~ It is a great sound. ☺ You know, I'm not entirely sure but I despise it! Maybe we've all stumbled across it in some erotic scene in a book and then soon after had someone hand us a plate of cake described as m****. Aah! Lol!
@Lindz~ They are! If it's screams of glee then I'm ok, it's those angry screams. Gah! Awful!
@Her Highness~ I noticed that a few times. ☺ Yes! Two birds, one stone. And, AAH! You're a naughty blogger! Lol! My hubby uses that awful word. Grr! He asked me once if I would prefer 'teat'. 0.o I think my response was:
    I. Will. Kill. You. Haha!
@Ciara~ Thanks! And it's very nice to meet you. See you around. ☺
@Jess~ Thank you☺ I've been happy to see I'm not the only one who has an aversion to that word.
@Lola~ Ahaha! My grandma says that!! I flinch every time!
@Nicole~ Hello! ☺ Yes, Fish Paste and Tartar Sauce, two great Sponge Bob curse words. ;) Heehee. I have goosebumps just reading F vs P! Lol! These were such fun questions!
    @Rebecca~ I know! Aack!
@L.A.~ Lol! I would be an awesome profession!
@Michelle~ Hi crusader! Oooh, girl screams, those are the worst! Yes, it's such an awesome word! *snorts* heehee
@Tony~ Oh, I know:P I couldn't do it because I can't stand it if I think someone is mad at me.
And say Fish Past in the right tone and it can be pretty satisfying. Lol!
@Diana~ I used to waitress too. I wonder if that's when it started to truly bother me. Hmm.☺
@Shannon~ Oh, I'm so behind trying to keep up with this and the Crusades, so no worries at all! It's great meeting you too!
